protein skimmer dunno if its working

First topic message reminder :

i have a marine land protein skimmer rated for a 300 gallon tank on my 75 gallon newly set up fowler tank and i dont no if it is working it makes bubbles and everything but it quits making foam is this normal and has not made any skimate my tank has been up for about a week and half i have 2 damsel in it to cycle it help im a newbie at s/w and protein skimmers.

how do you post pics on here im new

load them to a site like photobucket.com ,
then hit the little icon above that look like a picture,
copy from photobucket then paste to the icon.

give it a couple of months.......when i started my new tanks i don't even use a skimmer....i wait 3 months then i add a skimmer

when ur protein skimmer does kick in and skim..you will get that lovely green algae in the collection bin at the top...lovely smelling stuff to clean out. PS...make sure you keep the filter around the intake clean of debris/gunk...works alot better when it is =)
