I currently have 8 Lamprologus ocellatus in a 20 gal. Im going to setup a 40 breeder later today and soon want to move my shellies into that tank. My plan was to make the back two corners setup with rockwalls, so its shaped like a V with the front part of the tank open for the shellies. I was thinking for tank mates julidochromis marleri but not sure if there a good choice. If anyone is keeping shellies what is your thought for tank mates if not juli's.

What and how to feed frontosa?

Now that I have my Ikola's in the tank, it appears that frontosa are really slow movers. I have some non-aggressive mbuna in there with them right now and when I go to feed them, the frontosa appear to be so slow at eating that the NLS pellets just falls to the bottom of the tank or the mbuna just eat it first. What and how do others feed their fronts?

I looked both up, and the second one they sort-of had right, but the first one didnt have "african leaf fish" as the common name, instead it was- Leopard Ctenopoma, Spotted Ctenopoma, Spotted Climbing Perch, Leopard Bushfish.... after reading about this bad boy, I figure he could go in the 55ga with the chinese alge ...

In the next month or so i should have some to get rid of so hit me up if you are interested. Another name for this breed is Purple cichlid or Dwarf rainbow. These are the first fish I have succesfully had breed in my own tanks so im pretty excited.

Have a collection of 10 small/young Malawis - mostly males according to MusicCityCichlids whom supplied them. I want to create an ecosystem model in the class with them and need common catfish and common barbs I can find at pet stores in order to 'mimic' the Usipa, Matemba, Kambago and Mlamba.
Which do you all recommend? They will be housed in a 55.

(Don't laugh, they'll work if there's nothing else!... LOL... I'll just mention that the lake is polluted by the local people...) None of the pet stores around here sell anything remotely resembling what's found in the natural lake.

There is a large 'Plant ranch and Pond supplier' right down from my school. They also sell all sorts of landscape ...
