I bought 3 because I am hoping they will pair up at some point in time, and then I can just take the oddball out and get it a partner or return it to the store.

And can I keep 2 pairs of Jack Demseys in the same tank?

The sump will be on the floor under the tank and use the majority of the 9'x 4' floor space, I think I'm going 18" high. Well I thought about building it with ply ...

1x Neolamprologus Marunguensis - about 2". - $8

Im thinking the Helianthus is getting ready to spawn or something because they are guarding a spot in the tank and pretty much bullying everyone else to the corner.. i dont see any eggs so im not sure.

The most humane way that I know of is to net the fish and put them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer. This is almost like a morphine overdose.... its slows them down to the point of death.

If you know of any other better methods please post them.

I've had this blood parrot for almost 2 months and at the beginning he was orange and beautiful. Now, he has had these black patches for almost a month and half and I am tired of trying to bring him back to being active again. The amazing thing is that he appears to be sick but has been alive for the month and half without much activity. I can meet someone close to where I live and let them have the fish.

I am currently using an emperor 400 in my 75gl tank and i wanted to upgrade to a canister filter. Reason being i need that extra 4inches of space between the tank and the livingroom sectional couch ( mother-in-law is in a wheelchair ) and im tired of moving the couch everytime she visits. I have never used a canister filter befor and there is alott of them out there. Any sugestions, try'n to keep it around $150.00.

                                                                        Thanx.
